“Mountain biking is more than a sport - everyone deserves to experience it!"
Aneela is one of Juliana’s longstanding ambassadors, whose passion and energy rallies people of all ages and from all walks of life to swing a leg over the saddle. She is partner, professional MTB guide and coach of multi award winning adventure company Go-Where Scotland. She brings 20+ years as a Diversity and Inclusion professional into everything she does, and now works directly with the cycling and outdoor industry inspiring others to champion diversity through her ‘Mòr Diversity’ initiatives.
She believes in getting the best out of people and has guided and coached hundreds of women and young girls on her MTB holidays, rides and events across Scotland and the UK. Aneela was humbled to win ‘Local Hero of the Year’ at the Scottish Mountain Biking Awards. Somehow she finds time for her charity and pro-bono work: a board member and trail inspector/volunteer co-ordinator for the Tweed Valley Trails Association, co-founder of the FNY Collective and MissAdventures, and external advisor of the Women of Colour Cycling Group in the UK.
Most recently, Aneela’s been appointed Co-Chair of the new Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Group for the national organisation British Cycling - where she looks forward to helping shape the UK’s cycling strategy for future generations.
What’s your favorite part of your day job?
"How often do you hear women speak confidently about their riding? Or beat themselves up over their riding ability or performance? That's why I'm passionate about getting more women riding, to gain confidence in their abilities and value their skills."
