Jaime Hill
“Say yes to adventure…you never know what you’ll discover.”
Jaime’s story began as a world-class competitive gymnast, where she had the opportunity to represent Canada at several World Championships, Commonwealth Games, and a host of other prestigious international competitions. Jaime carries the same drive, determination, and work ethic required to be an Olympic-level gymnast into her career as a mountain bike athlete, coach, and mentor.
Jaime got her start in mountain biking at the age of 26, a few years after graduating from university and moving to Whistler. Since then, mountain biking has been an integral part of her life, and the freedom and thrill that comes from pushing her limits and exploring new terrain on two-wheels all over the world is what continues to drive her passion for the sport today.
After more than 10 years of racing internationally on the World Cup Circuit and earning some impressive results, Jaime changed her focus from racing to getting (and keeping) more girls on bikes. In 2017, Jaime Formed Hilltop Mountain Biking to do just that! Her “Utopia” is providing a space that is inclusive, supportive, and fun, where riders feel comfortable developing the skills, character, and leadership to throw down on any trail… on bikes or beyond!
What’s your favorite part of your day job?
"For coaching, my favorite part is definitely seeing the absolute joy I see on someone’s face when they try something new and do it successfully! I take so much pride in being able to help someone overcome fears and helping them expand their confidence and ability to adventure into more varied terrain on their bikes."
